Hubert Enviro Care Systems (HECS) is proud to announce the successful inauguration of a 225 KLD Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) with Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and a 25 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at the HLL Biotech Limited (HBL) facility.

The facility was inaugurated by Shri. Vijay Nehra, IAS, Chairman, HLL Biotech Limited and Additional Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, marking a significant milestone in strengthening sustainable environmental infrastructure within the healthcare manufacturing sector.

As a Central Government Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, HLL Biotech plays an important role in India’s public health and vaccine manufacturing ecosystem. Effective wastewater management is therefore essential to maintaining environmental responsibility while supporting critical healthcare manufacturing operations.

Key Project Highlights

  • 225 KLD Effluent Treatment Plant with Zero Liquid Discharge
  • 25 KLD Sewage Treatment Plant
  • industrial effluent treatment and water recovery
  • 100% treatment, recycling and reuse of industrial effluent
  • Zero liquid discharge from the facility
  • Sustainable water management and resource recovery

Executed by HECS, the project strengthens HBL’s environmental infrastructure through advanced treatment and water recovery technologies. The integrated ETP-ZLD system enables treated industrial effluent to be recovered, recycled, and reused, significantly reducing freshwater dependency and preventing liquid discharge from the facility.

The project also supports the principles of the circular water economy, where wastewater is treated as a recoverable resource rather than simply as waste. By combining efficient treatment, water recovery, recycling, and reuse, the facility can achieve improved resource efficiency while maintaining responsible environmental management.

For HECS, this project represents more than the successful delivery of treatment infrastructure. It reflects our continued commitment to engineering advanced, sustainable, and resource-efficient water and wastewater treatment solutions for critical industries and high-value manufacturing facilities.

With increasing emphasis on water conservation, regulatory compliance, resource recovery, and sustainable industrial development, projects such as this demonstrate how innovative wastewater treatment can contribute to both operational efficiency and environmental protection.

HECS is proud to contribute to HLL Biotech’s sustainability objectives and remains committed to delivering dependable environmental engineering solutions that support a cleaner, greener, and more water-secure India.
