HECS Hosts Mitsubishi Chemical Industries at Chennai Facility
HECS recently had the honor of welcoming Mr. Norihiko Sumihiro, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Chemical Industries, along with his distinguished team, to our Chennai headquarters. This high-level visit marked a significant step in strengthening our mutual vision of advancing sustainable environmental solutions through global collaboration and innovation. During the visit, Mr. Norihiko took part in a symbolic tree planting ceremony, reflecting a shared commitment to a greener and more sustainable future.
A Visit Rooted in Green Values
The interaction between HECS and Mitsubishi Chemical Industries wasn't just about business—it was an exchange of ideas, values, and shared responsibility. As part of HECS’s ongoing green initiative, Mr. Norihiko planted a sapling, symbolizing our joint dedication to environmental preservation and climate-conscious growth.
This act reinforced our belief that meaningful partnerships begin with mutual respect for nature and society.
Discussing Sustainable Industrial Solutions
The visit included a comprehensive facility tour showcasing HECS’s advanced wastewater treatment technologies, packaged STPs and ETPs, and AI-powered smart systems. The Mitsubishi delegation expressed keen interest in HECS’s modular and eco-efficient treatment models, which have been deployed successfully across sectors like pharma, food processing, real estate, and municipalities.
Both teams explored possibilities for working together on:
● Advanced wastewater reuse systems
● Green chemistry in treatment processes
● Energy-efficient plant design
● Sustainable infrastructure development across Asia
This visit reflects the growing international interest in India’s capacity to lead sustainable industrial transformations.
Strengthening Indo-Japan Environmental Cooperation
HECS’s interaction with a global leader like Mitsubishi Chemical Industries signals a shift toward stronger Indo-Japanese cooperation in green technology. With Japan’s leadership in innovation and India’s on-ground implementation strength, this collaboration holds immense promise for:
● Co-developing next-gen sewage treatment systems
● Exchanging technological expertise
● Driving ESG-aligned water projects
We believe such alliances help in pushing boundaries of what's possible in environmental engineering and wastewater recycling.
Looking Ahead: A Greener Tomorrow, Together
At HECS, every partnership is an opportunity to build sustainable ecosystems. Mr. Norihiko’s visit was more than a courtesy—it was a collaborative step toward shaping the future of smart water management and eco-friendly industrial solutions.
We remain excited about the potential this collaboration holds and look forward to continued knowledge exchange, project development, and innovation with Mitsubishi Chemical Industries.
